Go to www.pge.com and click sign in.

Enter your username and password and press “Sign In” to log into your account.

Before you download the monthly or hourly kilowatt data from PG&E, make sure to download a PDF copy of your last PG&E bill to send to us. On the main page when you log in, scroll down to “View Current Bill”, and click on it. It will take you to a page where you can download the bill to your computer. Attach the PDF document to an email you send to us.

On the log in page of your account, scroll down and you should see a section like the one below with the red box around it and click on "View Usage Details".

Once you click on “View Usage Details” it will take you to a page with a graph. Scroll down and click on "Green Button: Download my data"

Exporting PG&E Kilowatt Data (Monthly Format)
To export your data in the form of monthly kilowatt usage, select under time period, “export all bill totals” and under format select “CSV”. Then click export.

A zip folder will download to your computer. You can either send us this entire zip folder or just send me the electrical usage CSV file that is inside of this folder. We will need the PG&E kilowatt information in both the monthly and hourly format so please proceed to do the final step and export the data in the hourly format.

Exporting PG&E Kilowatt Data (Hourly Format)
To export your data in the form of hourly kilowatt usage, select under time period, “Export usage for a range of days”. The time period will be automatically set from the most current date available, to a month prior. We need a full year of usage so under the "from" section, you will need to change this date to exactly one year prior to the date listed in the "To" section. See the example below. Then click export.

Once you click on export, a zip folder will download to your computer call “DailyUsageData”. You can either send me this entire zip folder or just send me the electrical usage CSV file that is inside of this folder.

If you have correctly followed the instructions, the three documents you should have to send back to First Response Solar to analyze your past usage are;
A PDF copy of your most recent PG&E bill (PDF)
The monthly historical kilowatt usage data (ZIP Folder)
The hourly historical kilowatt usage data (ZIP Folder)
Sending First Response Solar the past 12 months of usage information in both the monthly and hourly format is the most accurate way for us to analyze your usage and design the best system for your home. It takes a little more time but it provides us much more information so we can more accurately analyze your past usage and be able to work with you to provide the best system for your home.
